The best way for college
students to get involved in this conflict and other current events is to
utilize resources already on campus such as joining or creating a club that has
to do with current events or even better a club specifically dedicated to the
Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Though clubs can take time and effort and
sometimes even money, this is a great way to get involved if the news or
newspapers have inspired a passion about a certain event. Clubs allow for the
joining of people with similar interests and increase the brainpower going into
a certain cause. More gets done when more people are actively involved and
clubs can really make a difference. Some activities a current events club might
do would be to meet with the current governor to discuss the issues concerning
the club as well as raising money for the cause being supported. The
possibilities are endless when passionate people come together for a cause and
a club might just be the start of something huge such as a political party or
even an NGO (National Governmental Organization). Though this option takes a
little more effort, it can be well worth it.
