College students are the next generation of
important people in the United States. From college students will come the next
President, the next Bill Gates, the next Stephan Hawking. College students
possess the most potential to create change of any age group. But college
students are also the least involved when it comes to many things such as
politics and even exercising their right to vote. Many don’t even know about
what is really going on with the Israeli/Palestinian conflict even though their
own country, the United States, is heavily involved. Unfortunately this is
because many college students are too busy or just plain lazy to care enough to
get involved. If every American college student watched world news for half an
hour every day, purchased a newspaper subscription, or especially if students
joined a current events or other club pertaining to American foreign policy and
the conflict in Israel and Palestine, this powerful generation would be more
knowledgeable and could really make a difference for their country and others.
